Grief may be like a kind of monster that jumps out at us.  It is deceptive.  There may be times when it can lull us into thinking that it has left us and we are doing just fine.  Or, at least, that it has become content to allow us to continue to exist in some sort of numbed state that feels less agonizing.   Then it leaps out at us again, triggered by something that brings to mind a loved face, or a particular scene reminds of another time, a spoken word echoes another voice and then the world washes away in tears.   You are helpless to prevent it.

Our Bereavement Support Groups meet for six weeks, multiple times each year.  It is a time of sharing, supporting and learning about the process we call grieving.  While each session is somewhat independent, often the material from one week may build into the information of the next.   There is NO cost to you to participate in a Bereavement Support Group, and the cost is underwritten by McEachnie Funeral Home.
